Interactive Network Software Product

Description
Using the metaphor of a Ouija board, this piece lets multiple Internet connected users simultaneously collaborate to move a single planchette (pointer). Rather than a supernatural force, the collective will of the physically distant users create a network "meta-personality" which responds to questions.

Users don't directly move the planchette on their own screens. Instead, everyone's local mouse movements are averaged at the server, which immediately instructs all remote browsers, simultaneously, where to position the planchette. The same server handles text chat between users.

System
An auto-scaling, client/server implementation of Macromedia's Lingo programming language for Shockwave. Server processing functionality shifts from user to user, based on best connection available.
